Remain firm during the uneasy changeable agricultural life of Ukraine is very difficult, but possible. Especially, if to be open, honest, always improving and stubborn in going to your goal. The example of company that uses these principles is Danosha, LLC, which is located in Ivano-Frankivsk region. About responsible agricultural production in combination with the latest technologies and plans for the future we interviewed the manager of pig production Kim Holmgaard.

— Kim, how did you manage to join the team of this Ukrainian company?

— I work more than five years in Danosha, starting from 2012, January. I previously worked on different farms in Denmark. Mostly with pigs but also with cows. I knew a little about Danosha before I started working here. Suddenly there came this opportunity to join the pig production team in Danosha, and three months later, I was in Ukraine.

— Do you know what was the main reason to start the business in Ukraine?

— It was the philosophy of Tom Axelgaard, the initiator of the Axzon Group. The dream of Axzon is an ideological idea of producing food for the growing world population in the most logical geographical locations, at the lowest possible resources and with the least possible negative impact on the local and global environment.

— Nearly every producer in Ukraine complains on a lack of qualified and experienced workers. Do you face the same problem? How do raise the professional level of your personnel?

— People create results. We appreciate employees who want to develop rapidly, who want to learn, to know more. In Axzon say that you can buy all the most expensive technological solutions the market has to offer, but if you do not have the right employees to understand and implement them, it doesn’t matter. We invest time and money in finding the right people for the job.
