Today  Agrarna kompaniya 2004, PC  is a part of the vertically integrated structure GC VITAGRO — one of the leaders of commercial pig production of Khmelnytsky region. Just in short years ago a forward-looking dream was to enlarge number of sows to 600. That’s why it was a real pleasure to talk to the representatives of the holding company, that got the reword “Agricultural elite of Ukraine” in 2012 as one of the biggest agricultural producers, about the targets and mission on the Ukrainian market.  

— What does “vit” in the name of your structure means?

— When we named our first enterprises we didn’t put any philosophy in. It was needed just for legal registration. For example, when we registered Agrarna kompaniya 2004, it happened like this: “What company?” — “Agricultural. We begin to work since 2004. So that’s the name! (In English the name is Agricultural company 2004)”.

Time passed and it was necessary to join all the branches of our business under one, but recognizable, name. We decided here our traditional scheme wouldn’t work. We were sure that we had to put a grain of success into the name! So we chose VITAGRO from scores of other variants. In Latin “vita” means «life». So we got — «life on the land». You must admit that it sounds nice! These words became our motto and key to our success!
